›Life is a Dream‹ – probably only few would have associated this statement by the poet Johann Wilhelm Ludwig Gleim with the father of the symphony. And yet, it inspired Joseph Haydn in the year of his death to write his probably most famous song, long before song recitals were even invented. Young Baritone Konstantin Krimmel and his piano partner Doriana Tchakarova – who have won, among other things, the first prize of the 2019 German Music Competition and the 2018 International Haydn Competition Rohrau – present us with a program that leads us from the Haydn brothers to romanticism to the 20th century.
